so we took the last train from zurich and the stupid train delayed.. we only arrived at Munich an hour after midnight.. grrr.. the lucky thing was our hostel was near the train station.. phew~

Germany was so-so only.. cuz there's not much places for you to sight see.. there's more history than anything else. Sher was out the whole day wif her mum and ah ma, Zhijian, Huifen and Jieying went for this Hitler's tour while me and Yeiling went for the Free walk tour in Munich. hahaa.. all separated. =P

The Walk tour was rather interesting. it's the Sandeman's New Munich Free Tour. see that word FREE? hahaha.. well the tour is actually 3 and a half hrs long, with a tour guide attached to abt 20-30 peeps. The tour guides worked on a tip basis, so if we think we enjoyed the tour, we can tip them- any amt. =)

Hmm.. me and Yeiling wanted to go for this Dachau, Munich's Concentration Camp Memorial.. but too bad we could only choose one tour to go cuz we only had a day in Munich. So we chose the City Tour instead.. we thought we should know the basic history abt Munich first.. hahaha..

felt damn tired actuallly cuz i only slept for 5 hrs the night before.. after all the travelling.. it really drained my energy. plus my feet were kinda sore from all the walking. boo! so it's like you're tired and you have to walk and listen to history for almost 4 whole hrs.. more like a torture to me.. hahaha.. guessed the only thing i enjoyed was taking pictures.. =)

and then bad luck no. 1 struck me! i brought the wrong memory card! =( i used up the 2gb on my trip to old trafford and the swiss alps so i thought i still had my 512 mb one wif me... turned out i brought the 16mb card.. like wth can i take wof 16mb worth of memory.. grr.. so i had to borrow yeiling's memory card instead. My bad luck doesn't end there.. i lost one side of my adidas sunglass.. thanx to IT being detachable... sigh.. i hope i can get it replace when i'm back...

* this is our cute little tour guide.. hahaha.. i like his beard!



* this is the Glockenspiel.
It chimes and re-enacts 2 stories from the 16th century and if i remember correctly, there's 43 bells and 32 life sized figures in this structure. So the figures will actually move in a merry-go-round sequence and we'll be like watching a story from below. There's this part where a cooper dance was shown and our tour guide actually asked one of us to demonstrate.. hahaha.. so at the end of the 12-15 mins story, this golden bird will come out (like those in the cuckold clock) and chirp 3 times.
But the suay-est thing happened to us was that we couldn't hear the chimes.. cuz it was under construction. so all we saw was figures moving but no sound. oh we heard the bird though... so for that 15 mins we stood at the bottom watching the soundless act...

Anyway this structure is situated in Marienplatz, a common tourist spot and also common spot for all major carnivals like the octoberfest! =) too bad i missed it! argh by just 4 days? damn!



* i find this amazing! haha.. it's a map for the blind.



* my lunch! german white sausages called weisswurst. It's a traditional Bavarian sausage made from veal and bacon! the sauce tasted abit weird though.. sweet mustard! i never like mustard.. but the potato salad was good! yummy~



* the Viktualienmarket where u can find all lots of different food. Eg Cheese store, meat stores, olive stores.. hahha.. and look at yeiling wif that big lobster!



* We were brought to this beer garden where all who sits in that area must drink beer. hahaa.. and yes! people dun wait till night to drink, they drink whole day long! we were there at abt 11 plus in the afternoon and pple are drinking beer. my gosh.. and u know what.. beer is even cheaper than water! you pay like 2 Euros for 1 pint of beer.



* any Bayern Munich fans? hahaha..



* The guide then brought us to Hofbrauhaus, the world's famous beer hall! Was quite happening inside! lots of pple were drinking and there's this band playing their traditional music. and according to the guide, this place is fully packed during octoberfest. haa.. needless to say cuz even when there's no fest, the place is crowded.



* the six famous brands of beer in Germany, with the centre logo as the main logo representing all the brands.



* we passed by this chocz shop.. aren't they lovely?

The tourguide actually brought us to much more places like where Hitler was shot, the New Town Hall, and the Royal Residence.. but i can't really rmb which place belongs to which pictures.. hahahha.. all look the same to me. shall put it up on rockyou... see from there okies?
The whole tour was mainly abt the history of Munich, where Hitler and the Nazis took power and bla bla bla.. those who took history in sec 3 should roughly know abt it. yea.. so i shan't talk abt history here.. haa..

anyway.. after the whole walk tour.. me and yeiling decided to just shop ard instead of heading down to meet Huifen, Jieying and Zhijian at the Olympic Village. They went to visit Bayern Munich Stadium anyway.. haha.. so me and yeiling went hunting fer birks! and yep i bought a pair!! lalala~ was supposed to meet up for dinner but in the end something crop up and so me and yeling ate kebabs instead. haa.. was damn filling. Met the rest at the hostel and went to try some Munich beer.. not that bad afterall.. hehe..

We headed up to our rooms quite early cuz we had to catch the 7.30am train to Berlin.. tt's why i've said its so tiring to travel!! i can't stay in one place fer long... always on the run. haha..

i dun feel good today. having headache and feel pukish.. =(

decided to skip gym and head back to rest instead.

wonder if it's the kiwi prob cuz it tasted weird when i ate it last nite.

wad's wrong with these people? a total bunch of irritating and irresponsible bit*hes. and for goodness sake! we know that its a common kitchen and please be responsible for ur own thrash! and since when did me and my roomie not follow the bloody duty roster? And which idiot started this thing that whoever does duty during that week has to clear every single rubbish including all the cans of beer that YOU drink. and YOU have the cheek to complain to the caretaker of the block. Freakkkkkk YOU!

and the caretaker comes and tell me and my roomie all these shit abt cuture differences. hello! doesn't your country teaches you to throw ur own rubbish away? instead of expecting pple to clear it for you. and wad's wif the stupid culture thing of separating boxes, cans, and rubbish? there's only ONE dustbin in the kitchen.. how on earth am i suppose to separate those stuff. idiots.

another matter that pissed me off is that YOU bought stuff without even asking us if we need it! and YOU asked us to pay up. like wtf for! i have my own broom, i have my own electric kettle.. who the hell wans to share with YOU! and stop telling us to keep the kitchen clean cuz we clean up right after we cook unlike dirty pple like YOU who leave ur dishes in the sink and wash it only hrs later! look who's more disgusting! STOP MAKING DECISIONS AS IF YOU OWN THE PLACE.

it has been some time since i see SUN. i feel like an animal.. hibernating in my room whole day long. the sky doesn't brights up, it stays gloomy and dark all day. *yawn. puts me to sleep..

i'm back! Paris was sooooooooo fun! =) it was a rather chop chop trip there chop chop trip back cuz 3 days was not enough! but due to budget constraints, that was the best we could plan. Shall upload photos other time. i'm still having the hangover of travelling.. i used to think travelling was fun.. but after doing it so many times.. i kinda get a little tired of it.. i concussed yest nite till 2pm today.. tt was how tired i was. anyway.. pics shall be uploaded soon. =)

i had so much to do today.. needa settle my hostel in madrid, and my trip to london wif my family. Planning these makes my head swell. In short, there's just one main pt to take note, Budget but good quality. hmmm.. kinda hard to find ya, but i did it! =) din really wanna start the london planning but my dad's nagging so i had no choice.

Soccer was great! another 4 goals from United. =) nani's shot was beautiful and so was the 3rd goal from Tevaz. Just look at how Rooney and Tevaz plays tgt. simply amazing pair we have. and i guess that's how United look fierce wif players like them and Ronaldo. Looking forward to next week's match against Arsenal, like what i've read in some website.. it's Title Showdown part 1. i hope lucky 4 brings them on again. =)

weEeeee~ off to Paris in another 6 hrs time. tee-hee.. another short getaway of mine. =)

i'm supposed to feel exhausted cuz i woke up at 630 this morning for class, but yet apparently i'm not. decided to take my eyes off my notes to continue blogging abt my mid-sem trip. yeap the super long trip i went. =) shall skip the part on my 2 day stay in London after Manchester cuz i'll be heading there again in Dec, so i'll leave that to be my last stop of my entire travelling spree..haa. cuz those photos includes my family and I. *smiles

sooo, me and Yeiling flew to Zurich on the 9th oct. met up with the rest (huifen, jieying, zhijian and sher) but din get to see sher cuz she went to salzburg with her ah ma and her mum. lucky her.. i would very much love to travel with my mum. yes. only my mum. but sad to say, i'm not financially capable of doing so.. but i know i will. =) anyway.. the few us went touring ard Central Zurich.. but somehow i feel that there isn't much to see.. hmmm... i think Geneva is the nicer one? i have no idea..

anyway.. we went shopping at this supermarket for swiss chocs!! =) yummy! din buy alot actually.. haaa. cuz my bag is alrd damn heavy from my previous shopping trip at Manchester.. i found white maltesers!! bought 2 packs fer dear cuz he likes white chocs. and this dark mint choc fer pighead. =) i'm staying away from chocs.. seen lots of it till i'm kinda scared of them. hahhaa..

dinner was fantastic! Marche-buffet! which cost abt SGD$25.. can u believe it!! hahhaha.. the food in Marche Zurich is different from that in SG.. but the free flow of ice-cream makes me happy! and grilled prawns! omg.. i swear i ate at least 2o of them.. hahaha.. call me a prawn freak. i just love prawns. all types! esp. cereal prawns. gosh i miss those in JB.. =( we also ate 6 pieces of salmon!! and not forgetting to mention that 5 of us ate 14 scoops of ice-cream in total.. not tt bad ya.. hahha. till jieying actually puke when we got back to the room cuz she was too full .haaa

decided to take a stroll after dinner and we became crazy. jumping and laughing in the middle of the streets, playing 1-2-3 traffic light and yes cam-whoring! a bunch of ADULTS acting like some thirteen yr old kids..hee.. but it's still fun.. =P

mondays never felt so fruitful before. attended both classes today, printed all my notes and readings, went to the gym, went to the supermarket cuz there's detergent sales today, cooked a nice and proper dinner after so long and finally settling down to study the first chapter of Maritime Law. i feel proud of myself. hahahaa.. keep up the good work jas. =)

We did walked ard Manchester though.. and spotted this large ferris wheel which they call it the Manchester Wheel. it looked kinda similar to that of the London Eye and the one that Singapore is building.

Headed to Hard Rock and bought a tee there! =) and we did a little 'sight-seeing' by ourselves. heh.. Can't recommend any place there cuz we dun really have that much time to explore either.

Sun 7th oct was one of the most interesting thing of my trip cuz the 5 of us splitted and went our own ways. yeah.. funny right? haa.. Aaron left at 3am to head to Pisa, Libing left at 6.30am to London to catch the train to Paris, Yeiling and I left at 9.3oam to catch the bus to London, Victoria while Zhijian left at 2pm to Rome. haaa. All going different places..

BUT the main point was that we still had a wonderful time in Manchester. =) thanx guys.. fer making this trip a success.
