orkie dorkies... taking sometime off to blog a little... =)

Life has been pretty boring lately cuz all i do is eat, sleep and study until a little angle decided to tell the sky to snow a few nights ago..

Was studying with melia and wai tai (weidi's new thai name) hahhaah.. when i received a call from Mr Lie at 2am in the morning to ask us if we wanna take a walk to sogsvann lake cuz apparently most of our coursemates are there. First reaction was: wth.. so late and it's so cold! and after much persuasion we finally gave in. =) Woke aaron and shermaine cuz both of them sleep like how early can.. and we were all geared up for the cold!

When i got downstairs i was like.. OH MY GOD!! the snow's thick =) and everywhere is covered in snow! hahaha.. the floor, the cars, the buildings.. everthing! and it was snowing a little while waiting for aaron and sher. so we got bored waiting and decided to do a little vandalizing on the vehicles. =X

only sinyee was nice. she wrote on the floor. hahaha..

when aaron and sher finally came down, the snow became heavier! wooHoo.. its so prweeeeeety=) and the snow flakes coming down have patterns. like those white thingy that pple hang on xmas tree. the 'star' like thing.. ya!! it looked exactly like that.

we saw some of our coursemates (the ATs) along the way and as they were making alot of noise, we decided to be mean. we shouted " silence! i keeeeeeel you!" ( if any of u find this sentence familiar... hahahha..) and guess wad they shouted back.."i loveeeee you" to us.. i can't stop laughing. cuz apprarently they mis-understood us. hahha. and so since 2 groups meet, war begins. we started our very first snow fight against the ATs. it was madness! snow was flying everywhere. hahaha.. and it does hurt! cuz we whacked each other with big snowballs! and body slam pple too.. We all turn crazy due to exams stress... i mean which bunch of crazy pple does such stuff..

ehh.. i got a video of our snowfight!! but the file is too large to upload. =P..

so we all went back wet.. cuz of all the snow. but it was fun and definately stress-relieving. =)

i think tt's the reason why i fell sick again.. hahaa. but i'm okie alrd!! great medication helps.

the horrible 6 hrs leacture totally drained me out today. Another 6 hrs of lecture tmr. i hope i survive.

I never felt so home-sicked before. I WANNA GO HOME!! very badly.=(

* 21 days to our 10th month =)

* 25 days to Spain

* 31 days to see my family!!

* 35 days to Christmas

* 40 days to HOME... and finally back to ur arms. =)

regretted damn badly. should have just gone ahead and bought single seat.. there's nothing wrong with watching alone right!!! stupid me! arghhhhhhhhhh. and now i feel like being extorted by the stupid black market!

3. ate prata and curry despite the irritation i've got in my throat.

5. parked myself on my lappie for another dunno how many hours.

woohoo. i think i've forgotten to mention that yesterday was officially ONE MORE FREAKING MONTH in kringsja. <---- tt's the place i'm staying at. =) yupp.. i'm shifting out on the 15th next month. and off i go to Spain. my last holiday with my frens before i see my parents back here on the 21st. i seriously can't wait!

today is one of the rare days u see jasmine talking to her friends online. hahaha. cuz i dun really like talking on msn.. and i usually go silent after awhile cuz i hate typing!! i rather TALK using my mouth then my hands. and sooo.. i've finally managed to catch up with my long lost contact fren... EL! sorry ya.. been super busy for the past 2 years. i will keep my promise to meet up when i'm back! =) meanwhile jiayou in SIM. =)

studying hasn't been very fruitful.. its like my brain absorbs info from the left and comes out from the right. so in the end nothing is in my brain. EMPTY! it's still kinda frozen due to the cold weather here.. i needa heat those brains up! like very soooon!!!

i dunno if i should feel happy that exams are nearing cuz this means that i'll see my family soon and it also means that i'll be home soon. but on another hand, it also means i'm dead cuz i haven really studied much yet. lots of reading to be done plus a stupid crappy term paper for my elective. -urgh- i hate writing reports! it's a waste of time.

anyway.. i'm glad i skip the company visit today. cuz i think i need some peace and quietness to myself. it's the time of the month where i prefer to stay in and do my own stuff. this is probably what pple see it as being moooooooody. but i'm not actually.. haha.. i just want some time to myself. =)

trying to defroze my brains so that it will start working soon. can't wait for it to be over.. i'm so looking forward to 21st dec..

it's just too bad i'm gonna miss his concert the SECOND time.

damn.. i can't believe i got so emo over reading some random blogs i found online. i happened to chance upon this blog which is set up by a particular sec 2 class of XXX sec sch. so i just read thru their entries and it brought back so much memories i had during my secondary school life. After scrolling further, i realised that there are links for the other sec 2 classes, i continued reading and i felt like tearing. i miss NHSS. =(

i still rmb first day of school, the bus broke down in the middle of the stupid expressway and i had to wait in the sun fer another bus to come along cuz back then, my sch still had afternoon sessions compared to the other schools which only had mornings sessions. I rmb the first girl i've spoken to - Claire and till now, we are still good friends. =) We all looked so toot then in our horribly white uniforms with skirt length till our knees. i rmb the day for dance selection and how the teacher in charge went down the row of each class and started pulling pple out. it was so scary! cuz tt was the first time i've heard of the CCA choosing pple and not the other way round. i guessed tt's the reason why dance was always the best CCA in my sch.

Sec 1 was great! with us winning the lower sec inter-class netball competition although back then our class bonding wasn't that great.There were many quarrels, arguments and some irritating bunch of guys pissing our teachers and girls off. but seriously, which normal little boy wouldn't do so? we had our first teacher's day performance by dancing to ABBA's mama mia.. and it was really hilarious cuz we tried dressing up into the 70's. first year is sec sch was mainly class bonding cuz all of us came from different primary sch.

Sec 2 was my most memorable year! u'll start seeing many of us trying different ways to doze off in class without catching our teacher's attention. We'll hold our txtbks upright and put our head down behind, otherwise we'll just look down with a pen in our hand pretending to be noting down stuff and u'll see heads nodding off in different directions. There was this period of time when comics was the in thing and almost 3/4 of the class was into it. and how we tried to read those comics by placing it under our table and with our heads looking down but in the end still get caught by teachers, and at the end of the day, our teachers will leave class with a stack of comic books demanding us to look for them in the staffroom after class. haa..

i'll never forget gabriel yee for pissing our lit teacher with his vulgarities till she shouted this sentence at him " I know far more vulgarities in different languages than you, so dun try to challenge me" haa.. he went quiet and sat down. i'll never forget how chris manage to pry open the liquid paper cap and shoved the entire thing right into lijun's face such that she was half covered with liquid paper and that look in her eyes, i swear she almost killed him at that very pt of time. and chris being the most mischievious fellow in our class never failed to come up with different tricks and almost 90% of it are stupid ones. Once he caused the entire school population to gather at the field just because he wanted to test out how fragile the glass was that shield the button for the fire alarm. yah.. he simply punched it and it broke! -omg- well tt's not the end and he actually ran off to the guy's toilet to hide. and there's yanwei who's always doing weird things that scare most of us. he's rather eccentric at times too. He once threw a chair right across the class just because he saw an insect. and yes. the whole class was dumbfounded. i rmb how yanwei, chris and gabriel yee having their childish quarrel which always ended up with them trying to hit each other. and the weirdest thing was, the next day they'll start talking and the whole incident will repeat again.

There was a time when sausze was caught sleeping in history class with the discipline mistress as our history teacher, and the way he was being punished was really funny. our teacher made him run a few round across the other classrooms and u should see all of us trying so hard no to laugh cuz we could hear laughters from the other classes. and him being the silly one tried to steal an OHP from sch. but was of cuz caught in the end. hahhaha.. home econs lesson was fun with chris around cuz he never fails to steal extra ingredients to add into his cookings and my teacher even questioned him once, "how come u always have all these extra stuff in ur food?" and we all giggled.

Sec 2 was the year we've achieved the most. we conquered sports day with us coming 1st and 2nd in most of the events. all the late night trainings at the stadium paid off. =) the only sad one was we could not defend our title as netball champions. but still.. we had a wondferful time training with the guys after sch each day. Teacher's day that year was simply awesome! we had a fun fair style of celebration with each class coming up with something to sell or set up a game stall. My class chose to do a game stall. We stayed back late the night before to set up the routes of the maze, we covered the entire classroom with newspaper and trashbags and lastly.. lots of pail of water! hahaha.. it was meant to be a haunted house but in the end it was more of, u enter the classrom dry, u come out wet! yeap. tt's how all the teachers got sabo-ed. =) it was all fun fun and more fun.

mid-autumn was another fun event where the whole class went up to stage to sing this chinese song but we ended up humming away cuz we couldn't rmb the lyrics. and the night ended off with us cheering our class cheers like nobody business. Playing catching was another stupid idea by one of us and we love to do it in sch itself! cuz my sch had 2 campuses just side by side. so we'll end up running all over the sch and at the same time making sure that we wun get caught by teachers.

our class chalet at downtown east was the best chalet i've ever went and prob due to the fact tt it was the first for almost everyone of us to come tgt and stay fer 3 whole days. ( cuz my sch din had orientation camp fer us). i rmb how i was dragged up to all the rides at escape themepark. i rmb how zhixian tried to act cool on the viking cuz he wanted to puke. i rmb how my forehead ended with a bump cuz me and Chris had a head-crashed on the panasonic and i rmb how the entire class sat on one side of the viking and left me alone on the other side cuz they wanted to help me conquer my fear and each time my side came down, the whole class will shout, "jasmine scream!!!!" it was freaking paiseh!! but i still had fun. =)

i miss every single thing that happened back then.

why din we had a blog back then? i envy the the blog that i've chanced upon. reading those entries just remind me of my own sec 2 life.

i guessed the only reason why sec 3 and 4 was not that fun cuz we knew that we had more important stuff to focus on and we all grew up. and most importantly we were all splitted into different classes. nothing beats sec 2 life. and tt's my most memorable one year i ever had in my sec sch.

ah...... i really really miss my sec 2 life. =(

all those memories, rooted deep into my heart.

till now, we are all still meeting up and i'm really glad that we've walked into each other's life.

yayy!! finally it's the last part on my mid sem trip which happened 2 weeks ago. hahaha..

i spend this whole afternoon thinking what will my next step be after this whole exchange. I'll be back in NTU fer another sem before my industrial immersion (attachment) starts. The whole thing about working in the office just puts me off. i hate offices, i hate being confine in rooms or maybe even slots like those u find in the library. it's suffocating being there and it's also suffocating wearing formal. i want to be myself but i know its not possible.

i envy friends who choose to go with their dreams to do what they want. but sad to say i din. My parents din force me to come uni, but rather it was my own decision to take this route cuz it seems the only right route to take, looking at sg education system. I could have gone to a poly but i chose jc. i could have gone NAFA but i chose NTU. it's all abt choices and here i am regretting the choices i've made.

I've always wanted to take design/fashion study courses in NAFA, but i din had the guts to go for it. so i had to go thru what every child in sg had to go thru and get stuck in Uni for doing something which i'm not that interested in.

That's the whole thing abt being a student in SG. Everyone is trying hard to get a degree, be it a 1st class or 3rd class.. just get a degree! tt's wad everyone is saying. but in the end it all boils down to 'we are studying for the sake of studying' which is totally wrong. Such mindset has been wif me since i dunno when, cuz it seems like to have a 'future', you need to be studying the right thing and take the right route which many of us doesn't like. so WHY? WHY do all these..

-sigh-

it's so sad that most kids have to go thru it this way. but i guess i'm just a lucky one cuz my parents dun make decisions for me and i'm sensible enough to know what is best for myself. i dun have great calibres to be a great fashion designer so i'll just be a student and eat my humble pie. grad with a proper degree at least and get sucked into the workforce which i dread.

although some pple may say it doesn't matter if u have a degree or not, but come on. think about it. how far can you go without one? what kind of jobs can u hold without one? what kinda of salary are u drawing without one? -crap- slap urself and come back to reality ok! the world is always unfair.

the education system sucks.

halloween was such a disappointment here! guessed my impression of halloweens are streets covered in ghostly figures or witches or ugly monsters, but sadly i've only seen 2 today. My plan to attend a halloween party failed and i'm so sad cuz i've never attended one before and i really really wanna go fer one! =( me, Sher, huifen and jieying went to this place that was supposed to be a party going on BUT it was so ulu-fied. i wonder if we were too early or its just a pathetic party. BOOOO! no party but instead i filled my tummy with kebab.. oh well at least that made me satisfied.

still.. HAPPY HALLOWEEN. =)
