yawn.. so boring.. life here is super slack.. just so not use to the fact that i'm not doing any sports club stuff. i still rmb so clearly that 2 yrs ago and last yr, ard this time i'm already so busy wif club stuff.. all the meetings, and deadlines i have to meet... busy like a beeeeee~ now i feel like i'm rotting.. booooooooooo

Ntu should seriously have such tables in their lecture hall... so much better den the movable ones! and the seats at my sch are all cushioned.. so comfy! hehehe.. not like those in sg.. hard seats. boo! but u know.. being too comfy has its disadvantages too.. wahhahaa.. sleeepy me trying hard to keep myself awake.

i'm so gonna be a good girl here.. attending all lessons cuz i dun have a choice. haaa. back den in ntu.. i think my frens only see me when there's a quiz. so coming here IS a good choice! i know my coursemates better!! hahahha..


hmm.. weather is getting colder and colder.. when can i go run again.. i dunwanna be like the first time.. 3 layers of clothings just to go fer a run.. bahh.. if i dun any exercise soon.. i'll be growing horizontally in no time! *screams.. i dunwan!!!!!

booooo... i hate mondays!! lesson starts at 8AM in the morning... yawn... how early can that be. i dun even attend lessons in ntu that starts at 930.. to think i've gotta wake up at 7 to prepare myself fer sch now.. grrrrrr..

tried so hard to keep myself awake fer the 2nd class at 1430 in the afternoon but the lecturer's mono tone voice really puts me to sleep so i ended up doodling scribbling on my notebook... hahaha.. as usual...

went shopping on sat!! whoa.. SALES! i seee that word everywhere BUT.. even after discounted price its still damn ex.. (still say sales..) hahaha.. i did managed to buy stuff though.. was a happy gal that sat! =) got myself a dress from zara.. a few tops, a skirt and 2 cardigans from ginatricot. =) bahhh.. shop until i forgotten that i was here on an exchange.. lol.. i think i'm gonna have a hard time bringing everything back to sg.. wahhahaa..

went out wif my dad's fren on sun.. hehe.. they brought me ard sight seeing and gave me 2 crabs to eat!! woooooOooo~ yummy!! hairy crabs.. hahhaa.. enjoyed myself wif them partly cuz i just love their 2 yr old son alex.. he's soooooooo cute!! the journey back to my hostel was horrible.. i was freaking car-sicked.. so thankful tt i din puke.. uh-uh..

oops.. been missing fer a few days. =) sch's started.. lessons was good cuz the lecturers here speak a hundred times better den those cheeeeena ones in ntu. at least i understand wad they are trying to tell us. My most hated subject is back to haunt me again. ship ACCOUNTING.. i hope history doesn't repeat itself.. *prays hard.

been planning fer my next trip! i am FREAKING HAPPPPPPY!! i going to watch a live MAN UTD match at OLD TRAFFORD.. omg! i can't believe this is happening to meeEeEeeee~ will be going to watch the match on 6th october! Man Utd vs Wigan.. =) * smiling so happily!! 5 of us are going! me, rain, li ping, aaron and zhijian!! hahaha... a new whole bunch of frens except fer rain who belongs to my clique... i hope it will be fun!!

plannig a trip was never easy.. was looking thru all the flight and train details till i'm seeing so many starts infront of me... the hotels too.... bahhhh... but nevertheless.. fer man utd. everything is worthwhile. :) so here's the plan fer my next trip. London, Manchester, Zurich, Munich, Berlin, Bergen... yea i guess tt's abt it.. haha.. i'm beginning to enjoy myself.! can't wait fer the 6th to arrive!

dinner has become much peaceful nowadays.. cuz we aren't cooking tgt anymore. oh.. went to this supermkt tt day and bought tons of fish products back.. i'm turning fishy~ *smells. hahhaha.. cuz there was this 40% sale so me and my new frens went to 'fight' fer the products.. lol.. being a singaporean does make a diff. haha.. u know the kiasu-ness thingy inside us... well marketing is still fun afterall! in less den 3 months time i'll be a perfect housewife! my cooking skills, washing skills and marketing skills all finely polished. =)

hmm.. weekends are here again... i'm so bored. there's 40% sausage sales tml!! hahah.. i think i'm heading there to take a look. *take a look only. =P maybe.. maybe only.. i will buy! wahahhaa~ den i shall do some window shopping cuz i head there's a sale at zara.. bahhh but i dun think i'll buy anything. cuz my funds are all directed to my match ticket and my next trip... =(

sunday shall be mahjong day again... seee i told ya i'm becuming an auntiE! but still... tt's my part time job now. hehee. not much photos to post up now.. maybe after tml!!

finally collected my residence permit after a 4 hrs queue at the police station! how inefficient can they be...

went to sch fer my first lesson!! =) a little not use to seeing so many 'ang mohs' in sch.. haha.. it's like those english shows/movies.. those high school scene... quite happening though..
my first lesson was rather interesing cuz its an elective! we will be learning abt different cultures and such, and my class consists of pple from almost everywhere.. we have students from Canada, France, Germany, US, Finland, Poland, Mexico, Turkey, China, Japan, Hongkong...... eh i can't really rmb alrd. haha~ kinda looking forward for the actual lecture to start cuz today's lect was mainly just introduction. =X

ahh... the bomb tt's planted in my clique since the dinner incident has officially exploded today.. felt kinda awkward though cuz somehow we aren't really talking to each other much.. i dun really know how i feel towards the whole thing. pissed? yes! definately.. but afterall in ntu we din had any problems working at all.. bahh.. i guess living tgt is just a whole new thing that we must learn. me and sher are just tired and upset over this issue.. hopefully tml will be better cuz we are going out to buy things again.. *forseeing wad's gonna happen tml......

but still.. this trip brought me closer to my other frens in my course. =) tt's a happy thing! my contacts in msn group suddenly grew from 4 to 17... hahhaa.. i'm so gonna have more frens after this trip.

i seriously feel like a part-time housewife here. let's see wad i have done so far.

bahhhh.. so tiring... shall gonna be extra nice to my mum and appreciate her even more fer doing all the housework and cooking fer the family. it's really a tiring job being a housewife. =) i love u mummy!

was supposed to collect my residence permit yest morning.. but the system at the police station broke down so i can only collect it on monday. took the T-banens ( the so called subway) back to hostel and rotted myself away till afternoon before heading to sch to report fer this city tour thingy that i signed up fer. was a little lazy to go but becoz i paid fer it.. i've decided not to waste my money.. haha..

the tour was a little teeny weeny bit boring.. haha. i was trying to keep myself awake on the bus while sher was sleeping away.. the tour guide was not interesting at all.. booo~

we were brought to visit some park.. (i can't rmb wad's the name) and also a ski mountain!! and while the tourguide was explaining abt the park we were busy taking pictures.. =P

today is a boring day.. but i'm so proud of myself!! hahaha.. i finally went to run, but its freezing cold outside that i had to wear 3 layers of clothes.. lol.. sounds a little dumb but in the end i was sweating.. hahaha =X

played mahjong in the afternoon! yayy!! finally something tt i looked forward to after so long.. din play vv long either cuz i wanted to catch dear online. =) and when i finally did that.. some stupid problems happened to either mine or his lappie and i got a little pissed.. bahh.. it took quite some time before we finally managed to talk... technology!! grrrr

dinner was damn bad today.. not becuz of the food but rather the tension b/w my clique. i kept super quiet today, just so not me.. i'm starting to master the skill of ignorance.. dun really wanna bother them anymore. simple things like cooking eggs also got prob. 2 of them wanted sunny side up the other dun eat tt and wants omelette.. ARGHHHHHH.. i just told them to cook the eggs themselves..

there's this cutural talk that we had in sch today. was quite fun and interesting actually. we were all split into groups to talked abt our country's culture and stuff.. my group was rather interesting.. there was a Finland guy, Japanese guy, Canadian guy, a Germany and Austria gal in my group.. =) had some bit of fun in the morning before we break off fer lunch.. tee-heee we had FREE lunch in sch!! another meal saved.. wahahha..

my frens decided to leave after lunch.. so i left with them and went grocery shopping.. it's time to cook tonite!! hahhaa.. we bought quite a no. of stuff though and we had a hard time carrying it back..

cooking was done by meeeeeee! hohoho~ tasted not tt bad afterall.. i can cook!!

once again.. i've reached Oslo! there are so many things awaiting fer me to settle. but first, i needa find out where the hell is my luggage... head straight to hostel to look fer huifen hoping that she did help me collect my luggage from BI. (tt's the sch i'm going!!) and i'm just seriously unlucky cuz she collected the wrong luggage!! it's not mine.. =( so my poor luggage is still left stranded in sch.. grr~

before going back sch, i went to get all the necessary passes settled.. after so i gotta travel all the way to sch, get my luggage, travel back to hostel and climb my 4 storey building with my freaking heavy luggage while others are living in buildings with lift!!

by the time i really settled down.. its near to dinner time. and f***.. maggie mee was all i had after such a tiring day running ard... i'm starting to wonder how i'm gonna survive here..

Last Checkpoint: Pisa

another long train ride to pisa... 4 more hrs on the bumpy moving object! and when we finally got outta pisa centrale ( the train station), we realised all the shops were closed.. wth.. cuz the next day is some public holiday.. arghhh.. how unlucky can that be!!

left our stuff at the hotel and we went to visit the leaning tower of pisa!! it's so cool! heee.. we din climbed the tower though cuz the queue was damn long. We reached there ard 3 in the afternoon and the time we get to enter the tower was at 8pm at night... my gosh.. its a super long wait so we decided to just take photos and leave.. =)

we decided to head down to Florence the next day since there wasn't much stuff to do at Pisa.. took the bumpy moving object once again... and this time round, we got into a little trouble.. bahh. we din know we had to write the date on our europass cuz the previous times that we took the train the conductor will write it fer us. den this bloody irritating train conductor came shouting at us saying we were supposed to write the date before boarding the train. so he wanted to fine us. 50 Euro each. WTH!!!! so there was a little argument here and there cuz we just dun seem to understand why is it so hard fer him to write fer us cuz we din do anything wrong and it's not like we had no tickets or pass when we boarded the stupid train. so in the end he threatened to call the police.. and he did.. cuz we just dun wanna part away wif our money fer such unreasonable reason.

and ta-dah! the 3 of us ended up in the police station in the middle of the train ride.. and its seriously agonizing talking to italian police cuz they dun understand and they dun speak english! sher was losing her cool so we got her to shut up else it will only make matters worst. i felt so stupid talking to the police.. its like trying to make a 3 yr old kid understand wad i was trying to say.. all my hand gestures and stuff.. argh! somebody teach them ENGLISH!.. to think tt is the so called universal language. crap! so anyway.. after scanning thru our europass and looking at our passports.. they said. 'ok u can go' and i went '..........................'

thanx to tt stupid train conductor!! wasted our time.. if only i wasn't a foreigner.. i'll *f him upside down. *pissed.

waited fer another train to bring us to Florence.. and our luck certainly din changed. it's a PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN WHOLE OF EUROPE!!!! all the shops were freaking closed! (except those shops wif cheeena owners) arghhhh pissed me even more.. it's so so so so different from SG.. haha.. imgaine having orchard road close on a public holiday.. sg will be a dead city.. lol..

well.. since we had nothing to do.. we headed into this internet cafe.. chatted wif dear online fer awhile before heading off fer a late lunch and back to Pisa...

our flight back to Oslo was at 6am in the morning.. haha... weird timing.. but its a budget airline!! so u can't expect much ya.. the hotel booked a cab fer us at 4am!! *yawn.. wad a time to wake up and prepare and do some last min packing..

the airport at Pisa is a nice place! so much better than the one at Rome.. not tt bad fer an early morning sight-see.. =)

*i'm finally heading back to my so called home fer the next 4 months.. =)

12th & 13th august 2007

Checkpoint: Verona

hmm... we din do much there actually.. cuz there was nothing near out hotel.. all housing!! and the bad thing was we arrived there on a sunday and the shops were all closed.. so i suggested to head down to milan to see see look look, since we had the europass, we can just get on any regional trains within italy. we had to take a bus to the train station as our hotal was quite far from it... train ride to milan was damn long... 1 hr plus.. so we reached there ard 6pm?

and guess wad!! we left after 10 mins.. cuz sher din wanted to miss the last bus back to our hotel which was at ard 7 plus.. close to 8pm. grrrrrr.. was a little pissed la.. cuz we just got there, haven even walked ard the at all!! but oh well i dun have a choice.. i just gotta follow.... and there we go.. another long train ride back.. -wasted day-

the next day was fun! we decided that we had enuff of museums and churches so we headed to one of the themparks in verona! =) we went movieland studios!! hahahaa....







well... not tt awesome afterall.. Aussie's one great! more rides more shows and it's in ENGLISH... the one we went was in italian.... sobs.. i dun understand a single thing... and the rides were so limited.. look at this one! can u spot me? tee-heeeee





*bleh.. i wasn't on the ride.. hahhaa... no guts to go up there! somehow i'm just always plain unlucky on thrill rides.. the last time i was on one.. the safety lever was not tightly lock.. i was hanging on to my life!!! from then on.. i had a phobia on going up such rides.. =(

went on some submarine simulator (the U571) and got myself wet.. hahhaa.. den we went to take this truck ride which was damn fun!! and once again.. i got myself wet.. heheee.. cuz the whole truck went onto a little bridge and the bridge collasped!! and the next thing we knew water came splashing on us!! weEEee~

the attraction was damn small.. nothing much to do there other den the live shows which was all in italian.. and they had so little people parading round fer us to take photos.. we only saw scooby doo!

decided to head back to verona (oh cuz the themepark was at another area called Peschiera)..

went to this this place called the Arena.. there's shops there!! so we went window shopping... but den again.. the shops closes at 730pm... so we only managed to shop fer half an hour. how boring can tt be....

after we reached the airport, we took a train down to roma termini. =) a nice place to start with.. den the horror begins.. the hotel that sher booked did not have our reservations.. bang! (it's a 1 star hotel anyway.. grrr.. ) so we had to walk ard to find another hotel to check-in. Was damn shagged carrying my bagpack and another 6x 2 litres mineral water that we bought, roaming ard looking fer a hotel. thank god we found a nice and comfy one wif wonderful internet service in the room. so much so for a start in another foreign country...

we stayed in Rome fer 2 days! had a fun time exploring the place. here's some photos. =)

We continued our tour to San Pietro!! Vatican city is just behind or rather inside it... but too bad we din managed to get in..... the queue was damnnnnnn long!! we went to pay a visit to all the popes as well as the church there. was a wonderful sight.. =)

our last stop of the day was this fountain called Fontana di Trevi. i just simply love the structure of the buildings in Rome.. just so magnificent!!

A fruitful 2 days i should say.. lalalala~ but i'm starting to get sick of pasta and pizza.......

6th august 2007 @ changi airport, terminal 1

saying goodbye was the hardest thing to do.. 4 and a half months sound short but still its quite sometime away from home, away from my dearest frens and dearie.. =(
